Description of Avis leasing services
Fixed rental (lease) payment for the entire period of use.
AVIS administrative services – saves time, simplifies processes, provides security and control over the fleet (cars)
Every car user is provided with a 24-hour AVIS Service Centre telephone number, which provides support 24 hours a day, every day, all year round, with a wide range of support and advice on what to do in the event of a CSN or car breakdown.
AVIS administers and organises maintenance, repairs and other services. By contacting the AVIS Service Centre, the customer receives technical support and can request maintenance, repairs and other services.
Full administration of invoices for services provided by suppliers (services): including checking the accuracy of the invoice (verifying that it corresponds to the services ordered and their prices), combining all invoices into a single invoice to the customer on a monthly basis for all cars and selected additional services.
AVIS monitors the mileage by keeping track of the car’s actual mileage and its compliance with the mileage stipulated in the contract. If the actual mileage does not correspond to the expected mileage, AVIS shall, at its discretion, inform the customer and offer an appropriate solution. Mileage monitoring is based on invoices from suppliers for services provided to the car and/or GPS systems, if installed.
AVIS shall store and, where necessary, issue spare key sets.
AVIS arranges and organises the purchase (financing) and registration of the car in accordance with the requirements.
AVIS organises and administers the return of the car to the dealer (at the end of the contract period), representing the interests of the customer.

CASCO insurance
CASCO insurance for the life of the car. The terms of the CASCO are tailored to the customer’s wishes.
Insurance and claims management
AVIS administers the insurance policies and ensures that the car has valid third party and third party liability insurance policies continuously during the period of use. AVIS administers the insurance claims from the moment of the accident until the car is repaired and returned to the customer. AVIS provides all the necessary documentation, organises the repair work and represents the client in communication with the responsible authorities and repair shops
Compulsory regular check-up
AVIS provides compulsory roadworthiness testing
Organisation and administration of routine inspections
AVIS manages the technical inspection and the deadlines, informing the customer accordingly.
Cost of the routine check
The cost of the routine maintenance inspection is included in the rental fee. (In Latvia, the vehicle use tax is also included).
Number of tyre sets requested
As stated on the cover page, the cost of the requested tyre kits is included in the rental fee.
Mid-range winter and summer tyres for all tyres
AVIS shall provide the appropriate medium tyres for the full life of the tyre, in accordance with the natural wear as expected.
Premium winter and summer tyres for all tyre lifetimes
AVIS provides the appropriate premium tyres for the full lifetime of the tyres, according to the natural wear as expected.
Tyre storage and condition monitoring
AVIS provides off-season tyre storage until the following season. The customer is informed of the tyre condition and wear, and receives AVIS recommendations on tyre selection
Tyre fitting and balancing
AVIS provides tyre fitting and balancing 2 times a year. The customer’s responsible person or the rider (as agreed) is informed of the start of the tyre change period and a time is agreed with the AVIS Service Centre
AVIS provides routine maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
Routine maintenance costs
The cost of regular maintenance in accordance with the car manufacturer’s instructions for the entire period of use and according to the planned mileage is included in the rental fee
Check the technical condition of your car
AVIS monitors the technical condition of the car based on information provided by garages, repairers and other service providers and informs the customer in accordance with the agreement
AVIS provides repairs in line with natural wear and tear.
Normal wear and tear repairs
The cost of necessary repairs that are not included in the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule but are required under normal wear and tear are included in the rental payment for the entire period of use and according to the scheduled mileage (e.g. brake pads, brake discs, wheel bearings, bushes, window wipers, bulbs, steering finger, stabiliser links, ball bearing, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter)
Additional warranty
AVIS provides an extended warranty period for the car under the terms of the manufacturer or other relevant party
Exchange car I
Shuttle car with unlimited days I: AVIS will provide a shuttle car when the contracted car cannot be used due to unforeseen repairs. The swap car is not tied to a specific car group and will be selected by AVIS. Within the city, the AVIS Service Centre will deliver the exchange car to the customer at a mutually agreed location. The exchange car will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours of receipt of the customer’s request. The maximum period of use of the exchange car is 30 days per case. Unexpected repairs include sudden technical breakdown of the car or damage caused by an insured event. (Except when the car has not been used in the conditions for which it was intended)
Exchange car II
Shuttle car with unlimited days II: AVIS will provide a shuttle car when the contracted car cannot be used due to unforeseen repairs. The group of the swap car corresponds to the group of the car specified in the leasing contract. Within the city, the AVIS Service Centre will deliver the exchange car to the customer at a mutually agreed location. The exchange car will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours of the customer’s request. The maximum period of use of the exchange car is 30 days per case. Unexpected repairs include sudden technical breakdown of the car or damage caused by an insured event. (Except when the car has not been used in the conditions for which it was intended)
Exchange car III
Shuttle car with unlimited days III: AVIS will provide a shuttle car when the contracted car cannot be used due to unforeseen repairs or other services covered by the contract. The exchange car is not tied to a specific car group and will be selected by AVIS. Within Riga, the AVIS Service Centre will deliver the exchange car to the customer at a mutually agreed location. In other cases, the exchange car will be delivered to the relevant service centre. The replacement car will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours of receipt of the customer’s request. The maximum period of use of the exchange car is 30 days per case. Unexpected repairs include sudden technical breakdown of the car or damage caused by an insured event. (Except when the car has not been used in the conditions for which it was intended)
Shift car IV
Shuttle car with unlimited days IV: AVIS will provide a shuttle car when the contracted car cannot be used due to unforeseen repairs or other services covered by the contract. The group of the exchange car corresponds to the group of the car specified in the leasing contract. Within Riga, the AVIS Service Centre will deliver the exchange car to the customer at a mutually agreed location. Otherwise, the exchange car will be delivered to the relevant service centre. The exchange car will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours of receipt of the customer’s request. The maximum period of use of the exchange car is 30 days per case. Unexpected repairs include sudden technical breakdown of the car or damage caused by an insured event. (Except in cases where the car has not been operated properly
The AVIS Service Centre picks up the car from the customer and returns it for the necessary services (routine maintenance, additional services, tyre changes, washing, etc.). This service must be ordered and agreed in advance and the transport service is only included for those services that are included in the contract (rental payment) or as indicated on the cover sheet
AVIS issues the fuel card, pays the invoices and invoices the customer on a monthly basis and attaches the fuel card report
AVIS administers other payment systems (e.g. Mobilly) and issues the corresponding consolidated invoice to the customer.
AVIS provides car washing and/or cleaning at AVIS partners
AVIS provides airport parking (Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn). This service must be booked in advance, and the customer has the possibility to book other services to be carried out while the car is left at the airport (e.g. washing, tyre changes, maintenance, etc.).
